East of the Sun and West of the Moon

An Illustration based on the fairytale East of the Sun and West of the Moon. The Princess has been married off to the white bear. She lives a luxurious life with him in his castle, under the one condition that she does not look at him at night. One night, after being influenced by her family, she gives in to her curiosity. She lights a candle and sees beside her the bear with his fur shed, revealing the most beautiful prince! But her happiness does not last long, as the broken promise curses the prince to return home, where he will be married to a woman he does not love. Thus begins the princess's journey to rescue her husband at the castle East of the Sun and West of the Moon.
